Our mission
At Dasan's House Inc, our most important goal is to decrease the risk of homelessness for young adults aging out of foster care. We aim to provide access to resources for stable housing and cultivate a natural support system. Our mission is to help these youths become successful, independent adults in Crowley, Louisiana, and beyond.
Overcoming the challenges
The biggest challenge these young people face is the sudden shift from dependency on the state's foster care system to complete independence, often with minimal support. Dasan's House focuses on providing housing stability, aftercare services, and collaboration with local and state agencies to ensure a smooth transition into adulthood for youths in Crowley, Louisiana.
Our primary goal
If Dasan's House could achieve one major goal in the next year, it would be ensuring that every youth aging out of foster care has access to a safe and stable place to live. Meeting this basic need for shelter and stable housing will serve as a platform to promote positive outcomes across a range of domains, including employment, education, and physical and mental health, improving the well-being of the entire Crowely community.
Driven by belief
Our work at Dasan's House Inc is driven by the guiding principle that every person has inherent worth and is resilient, despite their circumstances. We believe that a lack of housing should not be a barrier to achieving their life goals. As a former therapeutic foster care worker, I saw the challenges those youths face in foster care. This belief fuels our dedication to providing support and opportunities for youths in Crowley, Louisiana.
